Church Road, Warsop, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire NG20 0SF. Dedication: 'Pro Patria. 1914-18. In honoured memory of the men of this parish who fell inthe Great War (names) 1939-1945 (names).' An information board erected in the churchyard by Mansfield District Council includes information about the parish war memorial: ‘The war memorial behind you remembers men of the Parish who lost their lives serving in the first World War (1914-1918) and in the Second World War (1939-1945). Seventy-eight local men lost their lives in the First World War and thirty-eight in the Second. Three more names have since been added [WW2]. The picture above shows the Duke of Portland at the dedication of the memorial in the 1920s. The photo below shows a Remembrance service in the 1950s. The memorial continues to be important for the community, underwent restoration in 2007.’
