Bramcote - St Michael and All Angels Church

The war memorial in the church was dedicated in April 1920. Bramcote Local History Group has researched men from the parish commemorated on the memorial and also men who served and returned, The Group has published its research: 'Remembering the people of Bramcote; How one village was affected by World War One'. Original wooden crosses, which marked the graves, were returned to next of kin on application when the crosses were replaced with permanent headstones. A number of parishioners claimed crosses and with the vicar's permission these were placed in the churchyard; none have survived.
