Photo shows war memorial inside St Saviour's Church, Retford. It is a tablet of various coloured tiles, mosaic and a chellaston alabaster surround, the dedicatory inscription is on a scroll held by two angels surrounded by coloured foliate border and contains the names of 65 men of the parish who fell in 'The Great War' .The dedication reads ' For God, King and Country this table, recording the names of the men from this parish who gave their lives for their country in The Great War 1914-1919, was erected by the congregation at St Saviour's, as a perpetual memorial of their grateful esteem 1914 - 1919. It was dedicated and unveiled on Sunday, 8th August 1920, by the Rev Paxton, The memorial was made and fitted by Kayll and Reed (later Baxendale, Kayll and Reed) of Leeds, and cost £60.
