Nottingham (Carrington) - St John The Evangelist

Memorial which was formerly in the Lady Chapel and is now at the west entrance to the church.

A Lady Chapel was added to the north side of the church in 1924 and served as the war memorial. A plaque with the names of men from the parish who died in the war was mounted on the west wall of the chapel. Dedication: 'The chapel is dedicated to the Glory of God as a memorial to the men of this parish who gave their lives for King and Country in the Great war 1914-1918'. The plaque was moved to the entrance of the church by the west door when the interior of the church was altered c2011.
