This plaque was erected to remember the members of the Nottingham Britannia Rowing Club who died in the Great War.

The Nottingham Britannia Rowing Club was established in 1869. It merged in 2006 with the Nottingham Boat Club (established 1894) to form the Nottingham Rowing Club. The Club is still based on the River Trent. The memorial commemorates eight members of NBRC who died in the Great War. The dedication reads: 'In memory of the members of the Nottingham Britannia Rowing Club who made the great sacrifice in the War 1914-1918. They died for us'.
