The memorial at this church is in fact the church clock , which is associated with a brass plaque inside the church which bears the following inscription: - 
The church clock was given by the parishioners of Kirklington to the glory of god and in memory of the men of this parish who fell in the Great War 1914-1918 (5 names ) greater love hath no man than this, that a man lays down his life for his friends.
