Estate Duty Office Memorial Fitzroy House Nottingham

The inscription reads 'They only knew that not through them should England come to shame. Faithful unto death'

This beautiful memorial was originally housed in the Estate Duty Office at Minford House Shepherd's Bush London. It was moved to HMRC Fitzroy House Nottingham when the office was re-located from Minford House along with many staff during the early 1990s. The memorial is included within this archive because it was entrusted to Nottingham for safe keeping and records stories which may otherwise have been untold. Research by Rachel Farrand and Peter Gillings who also took the photographs.
