Pte. Stanley William Frisby, enlisted at Nottingham and initially served with service number 46262 in the Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment later serving with the 13th Battalion The King's (Liverpoool Regiment), he was killed in action 9th April 1917 and is buried in Tilloy British Cemetery, Tilloy-Les-Mofflaines.
In memoriam published 9th April 1918 in the Nottingham Evening Post :- “FRISBY. - In loving memory of William, beloved son of G. Frisby, 18, Nursery-lane, Arnold-road, Old Basford, killed in action April 9th, 1917. Ever in our thoughts. - Mother and father. “FRISBY. - Pte. W. S. Frisby [sic], killed in action April 9th, 1917.
