Gunner Percy Frank Foster, enlisted at Mexborough whilst residing at Nottingham and served with 216th Siege Battery Royal Garrison Artillery, he died of wounds on 26th April 1918. He is buried in Vignacourt British Cemetery.
Death notices published 2nd May 1915 in the Nottingham Evening Post :- FOSTER. – In loving memory of Gunner P. F. Foster, R.G.A., who died April 26th, 1918, of wounds received in action April 25th, 1918. Until we meet again. – His beloved wife and child, Alice and Elsie. “FOSTER. – Died of wounds, April 26th, 1918, received in action April 25th, 1918, Gunner P. F. Foster, R.G.A., he dearly loved son of Mrs. Foster and the late T. Foster, of 34, Bruce-grove. – Silently mourned by his sorrowing mother, sisters Harriett and Mabel, brother Harold, niece Hilda. “FOSTER. – Died of wounds, April 26th, Gunner Percy F.
