Person Details
Son of Daniel Behagannah Parkes and Esther Parkes, of 8, Young St., Blue Bell Hill Rd., Nottingham (CWGC). At the time of the 1911 census Daniel and Esther were living at 8 Hudson Street with their children Esther (19), William (17), Percy (15), Herbert (12), John (10), Kathleen (3) and Katherine (1). Herbert served as a private in the North Staffordshire Regiment and died of wounds 13 December 1917 and was buried in St Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen.
Member of 2nd Nottingham Company Boys' Brigade (Dakeyne Street Lads' Club). At the time of the 1911 census Percy was an office boy.
