This statue on Station Road Hucknall commemorates 1,200 men and boys who lost their lives working in pits around the Hucknall and Linby area. It was funded by public subscription and a £4,200 grant from Nottinghamshire County Council.

This section commemorates Great War fatalities from communities within the former Nottinghamshire coalfield who were not included on memorials erected during the conflict's aftermath. It is being compiled from from scrutiny of Nottingham Evening Post obituary entries, the CWGC Debt of Honour Register and other military sources, census data and Birth, Marriage and Death indexes.
